Dr. Boris Del Cid, D.C. had a personal introduction to the chiropractic profession in the early 1980's. He severely herniated a low back disc and was recommended surgery to fix it. The conventional medicine approach was an option he did not want to explore without trying other things. As a result, he was referred to a chiropractor who not only saved him from a discectomy, but inspired him to become one.
On February of 2006, after 16 years of practice as a chiropractor, he suffered a spinal cord injury that sidelined him temporarily from the profession, but not from his love and passion for it. In the subsequent seven years, he maintained an active license by fulfilling continued education requirements for the State of California, and never losing touch.
While attending rehabilitative training for his spinal cord injury, a serendipitous occurrence took place. At the hands of a certified Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation expert, he met his future chiropractic partner, Jeremy Sontag. Identifying the potential in this individual, Dr. Del Cid extended an invitation to join forces and practice, upon completion of his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Years later, the alliance was formed and a complement of experience, state of the art technologies, old and new school training, gave birth to a paradoxical post, the return to practice of Dr. Del Cid, Spinal Cord Injury notwithstanding. Recently, Dr. Del Cid our clinic director, was recognized by the International Association of Chiropractors (IAC) as "Top Chiropractor in San Juan Capistrano" and has been spotlighted in the renown publication, "The Leading Physicians of the World.”
Dr. Jeremy Sontag, D.C. has a passion for fitness and healthy living.
While working as an exercise specialist at a spinal cord injury center near San Diego, Jeremy met his occupational mentor and future business partner Dr. Boris Del Cid.
After years of chronic low back pain, physically demanding work, and unsatisfactory outcome from medical treatment, he decided to consult a chiropractor. This condition often rendered him bed ridden for days. A referral from a trusted source let him to what he described as immediate pain relief. After a period of serious consideration and advice from key individuals, he decided to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Sontag's Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, and 20 years of fitness and nutrition experience, uniquely qualifies him to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness through chiropractic.
