You may be suffering from Bursitis if you are experiencing pain, stiffness and loss of motion in the elbow, shoulder, knee, hip, or Achilles tendon while doing your activities of daily living or sports.  If so you may want to contact the San Juan Capistrano Chiropractic office of Dr. Del Cid and Dr. Sontag.

Bursitis is the inflammation of a bursa, which is a pillow like sac, containing lubricating fluid that resides between two tissues, usually between a bone and tendon.  The bursa is designed to decrease friction, and rubbing between these two structures.     Generally bursitis is caused by repetitive trauma or a sudden injury to the site.   Age can increase the incidence of bursitis as tissues become weaker, less elastic and more susceptible to degenerative changes.

Posture and structural balance play an important role in bursitis.  Poor posture can cause muscular and skeletal imbalances, which add abnormal stress to joints and other soft tissue structures increasing wear and tear on these joints.

Apex Chiropractic & SCI Wellness Center offers Digital Postural Analysis, which accurately identifies postural imbalances.  Both, Dr. Del Cid and Dr. Sontag are experts in the treatment and diagnosis of bursitis.  Along with postural analysis, orthopedic, neurological, visual and palpation examinations, we rule out spinal nerve involvement to the corresponding areas of the bursitis.

Call us today for an evaluation by the highly trained chiropractors at Apex Chiropractic. Conveniently located in San Juan Capistrano and serving the South Orange County communities of Mission Viejo, Laguna Nigel, Dana Point, Capistrano Beach, and San Clemente.
